I've been experimenting!

This is what came of my first escapade into Intaglio.

I like it because it allows me to make multiples of my illustrations and its nearly free!

I did these with cardboard and varnish and an awl - no copperplate needed! then just wet the paper, ink the plate and pop it into the Vandercook with a piece of plywood and some felt.

As you may have surmised from the image, I am working on a book about the sea. Lots of metaphors and a straight up good adventure.
