THE MERLING, inspired by summers in the Skagerrak archipelago in Sweden, is the first of a series of storybooks about a little girl who goes out alone into the night sea.
This book explores ways of resolving conflict without the requisite battle that takes place in so many adventure stories.
The Merling was made over a period of seven days as a personal challenge. 680 words set by hand and letterpress printed, plus three illustrations and a title page.
Single signature, cloth binding.
